SYDNEY LOVIN

Sydney
/ˈsɪdni/

a city full of diversions, art, food & extraordinary sights.

Located on the east coast of Australia, Sydney has one of the most stunning harbours that I would go back for again and again. However, the hustle and bustle of the city is no doubt the reason why I prefer Melbourne over Sydney. Melbourne is love.

Corrie and I stayed in a room booked through Airbnb located at the end of Surry Hills. The hosts and place were lovely. Because the location was neither too close nor too far from the CBD, we walked approx 15,000 steps every day, which compensated all the dessert we had throughout the trip (nah, not really, there was too much calories and fats to burn).

In terms of food and dessert, Sydney is a legit food paradise. If you love brunch as much i do, cafes in Surry Hills are spot on! We had truffle toasties at Devon Cafe and Kimcheese Waffle from Haven Cafe. Both were great for our tastebuds (but bad for our waistlines). We also wandered around the city to satisfy our dessert cravings- Cre Asion for everything matcha or Koi Dessert Bar for fancy and palatable desserts. The best dinner we had was at Katsu Yachiyo, a cosy Japanese restaurant that serves yummy dinner.

And the usual suspects- Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, Museum of Contemporary Art, Opera House. Bondi's view gets me every time.

I enjoyed Sydney. I certainly did. Nevertheless, this visit made me realised how much I miss and love Melbourne for the way it is. It is like a home to me, and it feels good to be home again.
