The Basic

Komeyui | Port Melbourne
Padre Coffee | South Melbourne Market
Top: Missguided | Bottom: Pare Basic (burgundy one here) | Shoes: Charles & Keith

Yesterday, Edward and I wanted to have both of our favourite cuisine before he left the country. So we went to Komeyui in Port Melbourne. Hands down one of the best chirashi don i've ever had!

If i were to name this outfit, i would call it 'the basic'. So basically (yup), crop top and skirt. While turtle neck has been trending lately, a crop turtle neck is definitely a must-have! & i like how the skirt gives an AA-denim-mini-skirt feel, even though it is made of polyester.

I'm not entirely sure how i have changed my style over the time, from edgy x grunge, casual street style to semi-feminine, comfort x basic, but i definitely love playing around and switching between styles. Why stick to one if you could have it all? Might come up with a blog post about my fashion journey soon! Meanwhile, i will start posting weekly photo diary to keep my blog going x

The Stables of Como

From top to bottom: Shakshouka & Cheesy Toast with eggplant kasundi & bacon (YAAS)

Sweater: Missguided | Skirt: similiar here | Boots: Topshop

In the midst of studying for exams, I decided to drag Edward out for brunch to de-stress. I had been wanting to go to The Stables of Como, a cafe that is situated in the grounds of the Como House & its gardens. The food was not bad, but the ambience was amazing and relaxed. We took a stroll through the gardens after brunch and came across many beautiful spots (as seen above). The picturesque venue definitely left me wanting more !

I honestly think turtle neck sweaters are the best sweater that has ever been invented. This one from Missguided is so dang comfortable & it does keep me warm & happy. Totally changed my perception towards Missguided (despite the slower-than-usual-online-stores delivery & some less-than-average quality of clothes that i've gotten). Still love you, Miss Guided.

Sunset & Beach

Say hi to Edward.
Fedora: similar here | Cardigan: Boohoo | Cami: All About Eve (similar here
Trousers: H&M | Boots: Topshop

So Edward & I decided to head to South Melbourne Beach for sunset on one of the Sundays. Despite the fact that I dislike getting tanned, i love beaches for the smell of ocean breeze and the sound of waves. & of course, watching sunset by the beach is surprisingly therapeutic. If you have not tried it yet, please do.

Oh, have I mentioned how much I love fedora?! You can never go wrong with this lovely soft felt hat really ! Wear it with either your favourite floral dress, or just a monochrome outfit. It is a piece of accessory that is made for everything.

Sundate

MIMAW's vending machine inspired stall @ MarkItFedSquare
My beautiful sister, Fei
Fedora: similar here | Sweater: Dotti | Trouser/ Culotte: ASOS |
Boots: Topshop (similar here)

These photos basically sum up my Sunday (excluding brunch food & gym). Had a great brunch at The Petty Officer in South Melbourne with Fei & Edward. We then headed off to MarkItFedSquare to support Vei & her stall, that sold a whole lots of adorable desk accessories & things. My favorite was definitely the lucky dip (only $5), which was basically like lucky draw. I was lucky enough to get what i wanted ! Check out her innovative products on her Instagram (@mimaworkshop).

Now, speaking of my outfit (as shown above), it is a comfy + casual wear, that requires minimal effort, with just an additional accessory- fedora. Tbh fedoras make every single outfit look better and more chic, which is probably the reason why i can't stop wearing it !

One More Chance

Fedora: similar here | Dress: Supre (similar here) | Boots: Topshop

After 8 months of not having any new posts on the blog, i guess it is time to start blogging again. Went to the pink lake at West Gate Park two weeks ago and that was my first time exploring Port Melbourne after four years of being here in Melbourne. It was such a lovely place, definitely needed to escape from the hectic uni life. To many more adventures with Edward, my amazing (personal) photographer.

Ripped & Leather

Jacket: Romwe (similar here) | Shirt: similar here | Jeans: Topshop (DIY) |
Bag: Sportsgirl | Shoes: online (similar here)

It's been ages ever since i last updated my blog. I (almost) forgot how to utilise Photoshop. Well, ripped jeans- my current favourite. I really love how it goes well with every outfit. But because of the overpriced ripped jeans that are sold everywhere, I have decided to rip my very own jeans (DIY ftw). It is easy & fun- takes no more than 15 minutes. Try ripping your own old jeans, the outcome will definitely be amazing !

P.S. Thanks to my friend, Jen for sparing some time for these photos. Couldn't have been able to update my blog without his help. Check out his Youtube channel for amazing covers & movie reviews !

Denim Dungaree

Dungaree: similar here | Top : Dotti (similar here) | Boots: Topshop | Necklace: UO

Dungaree is one of my all-time favourites, but then again, constant stare from others makes me feel terribly uncomfortable. Since finals are in less than a month, I pretty much spend my entire week in the library. Despite the fact that finals haven't even started, i can't wait for it to be over already (sigh).
